Reflection: Childhood
I wasn't really sure what to write about for this reflection because nothing particular stuck out to me this week in class. But generally, a lot of what we discussed in class had to do with our past experiences, our childhood. Most of the events I had mentioned on my "writing timeline" had to do with school related things, which had me thinking. Honestly, I was so excited for college and all that the "college life" implies, but if I had to admit it, I miss high school. I miss football games, homecoming, prom, senior trip, I miss just knowing people. If I could, I'd be a senior forever.

I AGREE COMPLETELY! I feel like I rushed my last year in high school just to be able to get to college but now I would love to go back! It is soo much better when you can go to class and literally know everyone in your class, and could hold a conversation with them! But college is growing on me and I am willing to make the most of it because it's a once in a lifetime experience! Nice picture btw!
ReplyDeleteI agree! I feel like my senior year didn't even happen it went by so fast. One part of me is ready to move on from high school but the other part of me isn't. And it's weird because my friends and I always talked about how we were going to stay friends forever, but after only 3 weeks of college I can tell that's not true. It's sad, but I guess that's just life!

ReplyDeleteYou couldn't be more right!! I feel like a need a re-do of senior year to fully enjoy it! There was no way that it was a full year, it felt more like a month. I sometimes miss always knowing someone. What's even sadder is that I haven't kept up with most of my friends from high-school :/
ReplyDeleteI never thought i would say this but i miss high school too. I mostly just miss the feeling of knowing everyone, but when i sit there and think about it I enjoy being in college its overwhelming at times but I like it. I bet we are not the only people that miss high school either.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree with you more! Throughout my senior year I couldn't wait for it to be over so I could be in college and doing my own thing. But now that I look back I wish I had more time with my friends, and actually appreciate the easy classes I was taking. I'm from Pittsburgh so it's really difficult to see people I miss but Skype has really come in handy.
